Board of Management
Purpose
The Board of Management (BOM) is the apex governing and executive body of MIT University Sikkim. It holds overall responsibility for the administration, finances and strategic direction of the University, and gives statutory effect to the decisions of the Academic Council.
Key Responsibilities
- • Strategic planning and policy formulation for the University
- • Financial oversight and approval of annual budgets
- • Approval of academic programmes recommended by the Academic Council
- • Decisions on faculty appointment, service conditions and promotion
- • Planning and approval of infrastructure development
- • Oversight of quality assurance and accreditation, including NAAC progress
