Discipline Committee

Purpose

The Discipline Committee is responsible for maintaining student conduct and discipline across the campus, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for the entire student community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigating disciplinary cases as they arise
  • Conducting disciplinary hearings in a fair, structured manner
  • Imposing appropriate action where a violation is established
  • Promoting awareness of the Code of Conduct among students
  • Counselling students on behavioural issues before they escalate
  • Reviewing and updating disciplinary policies periodically

Code of Conduct

  • Respectful behaviour toward faculty, staff and fellow students
  • Academic integrity and honesty in coursework and examinations
  • Proper use of University property and facilities
  • Compliance with campus rules and regulations
  • Strict prohibition on harassment, bullying or discrimination
  • Responsible, respectful use of technology and social media

Minor lapses are typically addressed through counselling, while serious or repeated violations move to a formal hearing with a clearly defined outcome.
