Finance Committee
Purpose
The Finance Committee is responsible for financial planning, budget oversight and safeguarding the fiscal health of the University. Every major financial decision passes through this committee, which exists specifically to ensure transparency in how University funds are managed and spent.
Key Responsibilities
- • Preparation and approval of the annual budget
- • Formulation and review of financial policy
- • Monitoring and controlling expenditure across departments
- • Determining and revising fee structures
- • Investment planning and financial management
- • Coordinating financial audits
- • Resource allocation for academic programmes and infrastructure development
Meeting Schedule
- • Meets monthly to review financial reports, approve expenditure and discuss budget allocations
- • Special meetings are convened as needed for urgent financial matters
Fee structures, scholarship allocations and infrastructure spending go through structured internal review rather than ad hoc decisions.
